Let’s talk about photo albums… whether it’s your baby’s first birthday party in London or your parents’ ruby wedding anniversary with all the family… or even your bestie’s hen do!!
I got my hands on this beautiful album by QT Albums, which I’d had made for the upcoming Open Day at Winchester House in Richmond, London. I’ve photographed weddings and parties at Winchester House over the past few years, and it’s always so lovely to be invited back for their annual Open Day, to meet couples getting married, families planning a bash and companies looking to celebrate in a really beautiful setting by the river.
There’s something soo much more special about seeing your photos printed in a book; leafing through pages, rather than scrolling across a screen. There’s so much more of a sense of occasion and nostalgia, I think. I rambled on a little more about prints and photographic nostalgia in a previous blog post, Slow This Photo Game Down, if it’s of interest!
If you’re planning a party and getting some photos taken, I really highly recommend printing out your faves and sticking them in an album (or, if you’re getting professional photos taken, hopefully your photographer will be able to have a beautiful album like this one made for you!). It’s not just about wedding albums; 1st birthday parties, 40th birthday parties, christenings, bar and bat mitzvahs, graduations, anniversaries… there are just so many occasions throughout life where you’ll be with your nearest and dearest, and those little moments are worth this tangible reminder.
If you’ve got a birthday party or special occasion in London coming up and you’re thinking of getting some great photos to capture the event, get in touch! I’d love to chat more and capture some great moments for you…
