Bridwell Park in Devon is one of those wedding venues that you can really settle into, that feels homely; where you can pretend you do actually live in a beautiful Georgian mansion surrounded by the English countryside. So Lucy and Barney did, hiring Bridwell Park for an epic 3-day wedding-cum-New-Year’s-Eve extravaganza.
You never know what you’ll get for weddings in England weather-wise, but the mist on Lucy and Barney’s wedding day certainly added a mystical charm to the day!
The wedding celebrations began with a civil ceremony in the chapel of the grounds of Bridwell Park – such a sweet, cosy spot to say your vows, and just a short stroll from the Orangerie, where Hatch Marquees had set up a stunning marquee for the reception drinks. Tasty grub by Posh Nosh, speeches, general tomfoolery and espresso martinis followed, and the night ended with some raucous dancefloor mischief entertained by Bill Ding and the Skyscrapers.
And then they did it all again the next day for New Year’s Eve!!
It’s always a pleasure to catch up with other couples and families that we’ve photographed before, now as wedding guests, and we’ve absolutely loved working with this amazing group of people over the last couple of years!! To top it all off, Lucy and Barney are also fellow residents of Tooting (great taste), which made their viewing even more convenient – just a five minute trip around the corner to watch their film and see their photos over some bubbles.
It’s been such a pleasure getting to know these two; so effortlessly entertaining and a very sweet couple indeed! You’ll certainly get a sense of the two of them, and their tribe, from their wedding film so be sure to watch this, and enjoy the photos!
