When Laura first got in touch with me about their wedding at the Great House in Sonning, it was lovely to hear that I’d been recommended to her by awesome make up artist Joyce of Brides and Beauty. It is always such a pleasure to work with known and trusted suppliers so this was an extra special treat! Even though I only met Laura and Mark a few weeks before their wedding, it really didn’t feel that way as we’d been in touch so much I felt like I knew them so well already!
Laura and Mark met over 10 years ago, when Laura was friends with Mark’s little brother in school. Through difficult times that brought them closer together, and life-changing experiences including the birth of their incredibly cute daughter Amelia, Laura and Mark have grown up together. Mark decided to go the extra mile (literally!) to propose to Laura, and set off on a secret trip to Birmingham to hand-pick the beautiful diamonds for Laura’s ring. In true Stargatt style, the proposal was a very relaxed evening at home with their gorgeous baby Amelia.
Laura told me that, above all, they just wanted to have a relaxed, fun day with their friends and family, which was totally up my street. They laid on a barbecue, children were invited to play and everyone enjoyed a beautiful sunshine-soaked day overlooking the stunning scenery around the Great House. Just what the wedding day is all about!
Laura, Mark and Amelia – it’s been such a treat to get to know your sweet family, and I hope these photos will provide very special memories to baby Amelia in years to come!
